Honda Jet

I went ga-ga over this yesterday, when I saw the article in Twin&Turbine magazine, which makes an appearance at work every now and then. (The article is pretty good and worth the read, but their website is terrible!). There is also some great info about the jet at Honda’s website here, and an online article (imagine that!) at AOPA (American Owners and Pilots Association) here. At my current salary, it should only take me most of a century to pay for one. That’s doable, right?

Play the “wow, it’s really sad how little geography I actually know!” game.

Two for one: entertaining and educational! Great for wasting time! Let me know if you get them all right. Even if you do miss a few, I am still not going to tell you my score, because, truthfully, I didn’t do very well. I used to excel at geography in school, but apparently I haven’t flexed that brain muscle in awhile. IMHO, there shouldn’t be that many Baltic states anyway, so there.

Hilarity Ensues – Boston police ensure the city is safe from LEDs arranged on cardboard

If you haven’t been following the “bomb scare” news story out of Boston, you are really missing out on some real life entertainment. Police and homeland security in Boston responded to an advertising campaign for a CARTOON as if it were a terrorist threat, and are now acting like a bunch of immature children throwing a tantrum to cover their embarrassment. Btw, Aqua Teen Hunger Force is a terrible and stupid cartoon, and don’t let anyone tell you any different. It’s been this sort of subculture hit for awhile now (I first saw the cartoon on the internet a couple of years ago), but it is NOT FUNNY. However, the situation in Boston over their advertising campaign is HILARIOUS. Seriously. Go check out Chris’ blog for the youtube video of the news conference with the “accused.” If you don’t laugh, you take life way too seriously. Reason writes about it here, here, and here.
