I mowed my lawn yesterday.

See, to most people, mowing the lawn isn’t very exciting. I’m sure that by the end of this summer it won’t be for me either. But for right now, we are not most people, and mowing the lawn is noteworthy in that 1) its still exciting to even have a lawn, and 2) we have a 35-yr old John Deere E90 electric riding lawnmower with which to mow said lawn.

As you can see by the incredibly stupid look on my face, that is officially the most fun I have ever had mowing a lawn.

Pet Food Recall

In case you didn’t learn about this anywhere else, there has been a large recall on many brands of cat and dog food. Some cats and dogs have already died of renal failure as a result of the problem, so please check your pet food against this list:

Blog? Oh yeah, I have one of those…

Whew….busy busy. Time really does fly….

Anyway, here’s an interesting story from a couple of weeks ago:

3-16-07Yup, the WordPress blogging software really did get hacked. The google story is here. The good news is that I don’t use the software, only the free service, so I’ve never downloaded anything from WordPress. Also, the problem was limited to one specific version of the software, and WordPress had a fix available for download almost immediately, and has taken steps to mitigate this sort of behavior in the future. All any victims had to do was download the new version, and the problem went away. So basically, the whole thing was a non-issue, but I still thought it was interesting.

Especially this. The server went down for a few hours that day, and when I tried to access my blog, I got this humorous error message:

Motorcycle Show

Ok, I finally have time to share the fun events from last weekend. Kevin and I went to see the last stop of the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show on Saturday, which was held in the Georgia World Congress Center in downtown Atlanta. Overall, it was a great time, although I thought it was too small and over much too quickly:)

While walking to the venue, Kevin and I saw this lovely affront to the 1st amendment: Free speech? what?

Buell has the most fun display in the whole show by far. Too bad they don’t have the best bikes.
