Gömböc!
We all wonder, from time to time, “is there a homogeneous solid shape that is mono-monostatic?” Well, after 10 years of searching, some Hungarian mathematicians have found the answer! Mono-monstatic means that this is a shape of a constant-density, continuous material, that no matter which way it is placed it will roll and rock around until it rights itself in it’s one stable position.

Mickey Body Coca-Cola Hybrid
Hey, check it out, a Mickey truck body (that would be where I work) made it into the news on treehugger:

Hybrids pose a special challenge to truck body builders. Its hard to find places to put the body and the product around all the extra equipment on the chassis. It might not look like much, but my good buddy John had to go to “Hybrid School” and put in some serious time to make the above picture happen. So you’d better appreciate it:)

VW Golf Hybrid Diesel
70 MPG. Coming soon? We’ll see… It’s supposed to meet emissions requirements in the US, even California.

V-Day
You know, bragging about the flowers you got for Valentine’s Day really loses its impact when you work in an office full of guys. I guess I’ll have to be satisfied with generating a few eye-rolls, and knowing that my husband loves me:)
