Thanksgiving in FL

I’ve had not one, but two bountiful thanksgiving meals with family here in FL. Its really just too warm here; the house got so warm today we had to open the windows and doors and sit outside by the pool to cool off.

I get to stay on vacation here in sunny FL until Sunday, when I get to spend the whole day driving home.

The Lives of Others

We just finished watching the very excellent German film “The Lives of Others,” which tells the story of a German playwright being monitored by the stasi in east Germany in the mid 1980’s. I highly recommend this movie:

The baby mule didn’t make it.

She passed away on Sunday. Cause of death is unknown.
