So, we’re near the end of July already, and we’re just now getting food from the garden. Right now, we have a lot of tomatoes (and I discovered that its possible, even for me, to get tired of eating so many tomatoes. Until now, that seemed unfathomable:). We also have green bell peppers, hot peppers, and corn.
Very soon, we will have watermelon, cantaloupe, and beans. No squash this year, I lost the battle with a particular colony of bugs that destroyed my squash plants.
Vegetables from the garden have been making an appearance in most of our food, including some favorite dishes, homemade pizza, and Mexican style rice:
