Western US Moto Adventure 7/23/2012: WA – Port Orchard

Today was a lazy morning as we slowly put our bikes back together to take the short trip across Puget sound to another friend’s house. I think we made it out of Dave and Susie’s apartment by 11.

Somehow, taking a ferry always makes you feel like you are on an adventure. The ferry across Puget sound was the first of several trips over the next couple of days.

Stephanie and Scott live across the sound from Seattle, so today was a pretty relaxed day of traveling. Once again we were treated to great food and great company. We even sat out on their back deck in the evening with a small fire, and enjoyed a spectacular view of the city across the water. The Seattle part of our trip actually feels like a vacation.

7/23/2012 – 21 miles. I threatened to move into Stephanie’s guest bedroom for the summer.
