Western US Moto Adventure 8/09/2012: CO – Colorado Springs

Not too much to report for today; we mostly ran some errands in Colorado Springs, and then relaxed in camp. Kevin finally decided that his front tire wasn’t going to make it much further, so the first stop of the day was a motorcycle shop for a new one. We also made the usual trips to an REI and a grocery store.

(Kevin likes to remove the wheel from the bike himself. Its both cheaper and faster for us, since they don’t charge us for that labor, and its super easy for them to change the tire when Kevin just hands them the wheel. Rather than wait in line for our turn all day, we were in and out in about an hour).

Since the famous Garden of the Gods park was so close by, we made a quick tour through the park after a really delicious lunch at a Pei Wei (Asian style food).

Maybe Garden of the Gods would have been more interesting if we’d bothered to stop at the visitor center.

08/09/2012 – 61 miles. Staying at the Diamond RV Park and Campground, Woodland Park, CO again.
